I have always liked Acme Markets ever since I was a kid. They have fresh food. Alot of deals. Very nice staff that work there.
What I have to say should not reflect on the the employees *wish I could give them their stars, would be a 5* (unless they knowingly put these products out).... I've always been treated very well. I am new to the town, and I've never had to check dates before at an ACME....BUT I buy lunch meats and I'm LUCKY if they last a week!!! Tysons REFRIGERATED grilled chicken strips, clearly state "EXPIRED BY:(said date) if not frozen, this item is NOT frozen!!!! Again I remind you that I have never had to check dates nor check lunch meat daily for creamy colored slim and smell. Literally bought Tysons grilled strips THAT DAY to prepare for dinner THAT NIGHT.... nearly KNOCKED ME OVER when I opened the bag..... *SMH WITH ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT* while the prices do not reflect anything other than being over priced. My 13 yrs old daughter even made this statement: "MaMa, we have like 2 bags of food and it cost $70.... I even know that is RIDICULOUS!" The store is small and only hold a fraction of options, it reminds me of the Wal-Mart in Pennsville...... if the lead/dept manager doesn't like the product, they will not order it
Nice place and very friendly staff. Has about everything you need to get in one trip.
Sad really.... being the only place in town to shop, you would think, they would want their customers to not only be satisfied BUT TO COME BACK & CONTINUOUSLY SHOP THERE.... not send them looking in other towns. I've personally have gone to the Bridgeton Wal-Mart and grocery stores due to these issues. I will end this with: this is not a bash session. It is nothing more than (hopefully taking heed to their consumers) my experiences, so others may be informed and make an educated conclusion on their own. Remember check your dates and happy shopping.
Best time to go is at night. Store is basically empty!
